Missions

Our mission statement, “from the nations in the Capital to the nations of the World”, reflects our desire to have Kingdom influence well beyond our shores.

Step out with us, out of our front door, our neighborhood and out of our beloved Captial city. Beyond our shores, we find a world of 6.2 billion people. Over half live in Asia where physical and spiritual poverty are prevalent.

The beauty of God’s creation is held for ransom, perverted and suppressed. Yet miracles are a daily occurrence because there is no other option. Light is pushing back the darkness and setting people free! God is on the move to redeem for Himself a people from the peoples of the earth!

As a church, we are strategically involved with three overseas fields that God has led us to. In addition, we are also involved with reaching the nations right here in our city as well and relationally connected to other missionaries in the world.

Overseas Strategic Involvement:

Mount Hope Training Centre – Kalimantan, Indonesia

The Mount Hope Training Centre is located in West Kalimantan, among the Dayak people. It contains dormitories for over 300 children and a school for over 1,000 children from the surrounding villages. It is also a centre for church planters ministering out in the villages.

More information available on the Mount Hope website.

Shepherds Arms – Bohol, Philippines
Shepherds Arms is an orphanage that houses and educates over 30 children in the Philippines. Along with the orphanage, there is a church, prison ministry, street kids feeding ministry and outreach into unreached peoples in the jungles and among sea gypsies.

More information available on the Shepherds Arms website.

Isaan - Northeast Thailand
The Isaan are a people group who live in Northeast Thailand, with a population of about 22 million. They form 1/3rd of the population of Thailand, but less than 1/20th of the Christians in that country! With only 0.1% of the population Christians, the vast majority don’t have any opportunity to hear about Jesus even if they wanted to!

More information of this people group on the Joshua Project website.

Kairos Course

Kairos is a dynamic course that looks back through history and scripture to see the promises of God, then looks forward at the strategies and cultures that will change this world for Jesus! Knowing His purpose and promises will prepare us for the present movement and what the future holds.

The ethos of Wellington Elim is built on the material in this course. If you’re a leader or want to catch the heat beat of God and this church, this is a must-do! For more information, visit the Kairos Course website and/or contact Kevin Chan.

We see Kairos as playing a key role in discipling people in our church to prepare them for local and global mission” - Ps Mike Knott

Part 1 of our next course is running on Thursday nights, from 4th till 25th March, 6.30 - 9pm
Part 2 will run from 8th April till  6th May.

Our Missionaries

Apart from our strategic fields, there are other missionaries doing a great job where God has called them, and it is out privilege to partner with them in that.
