CREATION is an exciting topic, and one which is full of amazing & incredible facts! We have endeavoured in this module to equip our Power Kids to be able to share the biblical account of creation. We have also addressed a few of the commonly taught myths about creation - giving children an understanding of the different approaches to the beginning of the world.

We know that God is our creator, and that ulitimately he created us for relationship. We want the children to know their value and worth as human beings, created in the very image of God!

Through the Powerzone Movies children will meet Professor Schneeckenbergelmeister, a crazy professor who teaches science to a group of children. Each episode of the movie looks at a different day of creation, and shows children what evidence actually exists to support the biblical account. We also look at a few commonly taught ideas about creation, such as the big bang, evolution etc. and look at how these theories “stack up” against the evidence.

This module has been built on the following:

• Creation is not a myth, parable or poetry. it is an account of earth’s and our beginnings.
• Creation is being proven scientifically.
• Believing in evolution requires faith too - evolution has many “missing links”.
• Many scientists (and not all of them Christian) believe in creation or a designer.
• Scripture other than Genesis 1 supports the creation story.
• What is in textbooks and/or is being taught by schools & universities is not always factual.
• Our world view as Christians is that we are the pinnacle of God’s creation on a specially created world in a specially created universe, NOT that we are just one of many from an explosion with no plan or purpose.
• Humans are not like animals and were created to have fellowship and a relationship with God.
