Doctors
Dr Samantha MurtonSam is involved in teaching new doctors and medical students. She has spent 14+ years working in minor surgery at the Regional Plastic Surgical Service in the Hutt and brings this experience to her practice “heal with steel”. She is interested in travel and has some overseas experience. Sam is married with 3 children (all taller than her), 1 dog and 1 cat (the shorter members of the family).
Dr Fipi Hastie
Fipi recently joined Capital Care early this year after working a few years in the public hospital system. She is married and has no pets, although she is interested in stewing Sarah’s bunnies.
Dr Penny Rickman
Penny has been working at Capital Care since 2008. Prior to this she spent many years working in hospitals in NZ and the UK.
Grace has been part of Capital Care since 2008. Grace has many years working in the public health system and brings this experience and knowledge into her practice.
Nurses
Marleen has been with Capital Care for a few years. She has nursing experience in paedatrics and child health, bringing this experience to her work. Marleen is married with 3 teenage children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Sarah joined Capital Care at the start of 2009 after working in the public health system. She has experience in general/vascular surgical, and brings this experience into her work. Sarah is married and has 2 rabbits.
Social worker
Susan Gill
Since August 2006, Susan has offered a social work service, receiving referrals from our medical staff. She brings experience in psychiatric social work and working with families. She is supportive and offers a listening ear. Susan is married with 3 young adult children and a Labrador.
Receptionists
Jan Moore
Receptionist extraordinaire & assistant to Dr Samantha our Practice Manager. She makes sure the practice hums along smoothly and makes great coffee! Jan is married with 3 adult children & 2 daughters-in-law, 2 grand children and no desire for pets!
Fale Crichton
Fale works the phones and manages the paperwork. She is bright and cheerful with several years experience in this field. Fale is married with 3 children and no pets.
